I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures but it wasn’t until I actually got brave enough to take the camera off Auto that I started to think of myself as a photographer. Not that I suddenly started taking great pictures - quite the opposite in fact! I realized that what goes on behind the camera is much more important than the camera itself and I was (and still am!) facinated by the complexities that go into make a good image great.

I started my second career as a photographer in 2005 and I haven’t looked back. I feel honored so many families have chosen me to document their lives through photographs.
